"I just had the most pleasent experience ordering on your web site! Most other A/V sites present an overwhelming amount of information presented in a very cluttered way, but I found your site to be clean and simple, yet informative. Great job giving your customers such a nice way to get more information." - Joseph F.
Home Theater Projector Screens
It's funny what a strip of celluloid projected at 24 frames per second by a flickering light onto a white screen can do. They talk about "movie magic," and the history of cinema is riddled with examples: a house falling down around a stone-faced Buster Keaton, Gene Kelly leaping onto a lamppost in the pouring rain, or even Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear. These are but a handful of the indelible moments etched into our collective memories.
For some people, movies border on holy experiences. Some people will even build actual screening rooms in their homes. These rooms can even include home theater seating and sound, not to mention the ability to make the room completely dark--even on the sunniest day of the year. Naturally, these rooms are incomplete without home theater projector screens to round them out.
There are, of course, technical considerations to keep in mind when choosing a screen. The screen should occupy a 30 degree field of view for the audience. Screen height should be approximately equal to one-sixth the distance from the screen to the last row of seats, allowing text to be read and detail to be seen in the projected image. Ideally, the first row of seats should be approximately two screen heights away. Sightlines are also a consideration, since every member of the audience, whether it is one or dozens of people, be able to see the screen.
