View Owner's ManualThe 6-inch Mirror Image Technology (MT) series consists of four rectangular 6-1/2" two-way in-wall models. Each model is a matched pair, one with the tweeter on the left side and one with the tweeter on the right - a mirror image. Positioning the tweeter to one side of the woofer assures minimal driver interference and minimizes the effects of unwanted diffraction, leading to a smoother frequency response
These speakers use some of the most high-tech materials available. Hard anodized magnesium, carbon fiber, woven fiberglass, metallic filled plastic and more. The use of these materials produce a higher performance in sound quality. Woofers that can move faster because theyre lighter. Tweeters that areeee crisp but not grainy. Again SpeakerCraft raises the bar in architectural speaker design.
Turning six screws securely holds the speaker in place, no additional brackets are required. The patented I-Beam mounting system (Patent# 5,400,412) allows the speakers to be mounted directly next to vertical running studs and about two inches away from horizontal running obstructions such as fire blocks, headers, etc.
AcoustaCell (TM) , the revolutionary wall dampening system, is a blend of sound absorbing materials that blocks sound passing through drywall, dampens drywall resonance, stops standing waves, blocks Helmholtz resonance and dissipates back waves.
