(Q.) Do I have to Assemble my Furnitech cabinet?
(A.) All cabinets are shipped fully assembled with the exception of door and drawer hardware that must be screwed into place.
(Q.) Will my IR remote work through smoked or stipple glass doors as well as speaker grille cloth?
(A.) Yes.
(Q.) Do the back panels have holes large enough for proper ventilation and wiring?
(A.) On all models, large oppenings are provided on the right and left storage compartments. The center back panel is removable and holes on center right and left lateral panels have holes for wire management.
(Q.) What is the weight capacity for the cabinet tops and adjustable shelves?
(A.) For models 36" - 46" wide, up to 100 lbs. of weight can be placed on the cabinet top. For models ranging in size from 60" - 75", up to 200 lbs. of weight is recomended. Adjustable shelves can hold up to 60 lbs of weight.
(Q.) What materials are used to build Furnitech cabinets?
(A.) Our cabinets utilized a variety of materials depending on the design and function of the element in question. Generally speaking all cabinet tops, sides and shelves use either MDF (medium density fiberboard) or high density engineered board as the substrate with wood veneer applied. Back panels are 6mm MDF.
The door and drawer frames are constructed from solid Brazilian cherry wood. Decorative elements such as radius sides are comprised of plywood and wood veneer. Glass doors are safety tempered. Metal shelf pins are used for increased weight capacity for adjustable shelves.
